Narrow band survey dark clouds (BNBIS)
Аннотация:
Herbig-Haro (HH) objects are small emission nebula with characteristic shock excitation spectrum, which are formed by the interaction of collimated outflows from young stellar objects with the interstellar medium and, in some cases; they represent the brightest parts of optical jets. It is considered proven that the presence of HH objects is one of the main signs of an active star formation in dark clouds.
We present some results of the survey (Byurakan Narrow Band Imaging Survey - BNBIS) of dark clouds started with a 1 m Schmidt telescope of Byurakan Observatory. The main goal of this survey is search of HH objects and jets in Galactic dark clouds, as well as to reveal new nests of active starformation.
Becide we use objective prism to obtain slit-less spectra of the sources of
collimated outflows.
